Our Story
Why Fearfully and not Fearlessly?
As human beings, we are constantly being told that we have to be fearless in order to live our lives to its full potential. However, we are not fearless creatures. The reality is as we get older, we become more fearful. We, at FAWU, use fearfully instead of fearlessly to emphasize the idea that we as humans will often be afraid to do things that we’ve never done before, that are uncomfortable, scary or different. Know that it’s okay to be afraid. We must acknowledge the fear, allow ourselves to feel afraid and do that thing anyway. Only then will we become truly fearless.
We, at FAWU, encourage you to acknowledge that thing that you fear, allow yourself to feel afraid about doing that thing and then step out. Do that thing anyway!
